Visit statistics
When you visit laden.no, our own statistics service records the visit. It runs on our own server, operated by Laden. No third party receives the data.
What is recorded: your IP address; approximate location derived from the IP address (country, region, city) and your internet provider or network; browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and time zone; the pages you view, page title, the page you came from (referrer) and any campaign tags in the link; how long a page is visible, and how far you scroll; clicks on downloads and on links to other websites.
The web server also keeps a standard request log: IP address, time, address requested, status code, referrer and the browser's user agent.
Why
To see how the site is used, improve the content and count downloads, and for security: spotting abuse, bots and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and useful website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
What we do not do
The statistics set no cookies and use no fingerprinting. No external tracking scripts and no ads. Location is looked up on our own server using a local copy of the DB-IP database; your IP address is not sent anywhere. The information is not sold.
How long
Full IP addresses are anonymized after 30 days: the last part is removed (for example 81.2.69.0) and the browser's user agent is deleted. Anonymized statistics are kept for up to 13 months. The server log is deleted after 14 days.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no visit statistics are recorded. The standard server log is still kept.
Opt out
You can opt this browser out of visit statistics: opt me out. This stores one small cookie (cc_optout=1) with no ID for 13 months. You can undo it on the same page.
What you send
Your name, email and what you write. Phone, business or personal, project type, course details and date if you fill them in. The form opens your email app with the message addressed to post@laden.no. We read the message to answer your question. The email stays in our inbox while the enquiry is active, and is deleted when it is no longer needed.
Newsletter
If you sign up for “Notes from Laden”, we store your email address, language, the page you signed up from and the time on our own server. It is only used to send notes from Laden. Write to post@laden.no to unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction or deletion, and object to the processing. Give us your IP address and we will delete everything tied to it. Write to post@laden.no. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
